Winter holiday schedule announced for all OP offices

If you are already planning your holiday season travel, note that all UCOP offices will be closed from Saturday, Dec. 22, 2012, through Tuesday, Jan. 1, 2013, except for essential services. Offices will reopen on Wednesday, Jan. 2, 2013.
Winter holidays are observed on Dec. 24 and 25, and New Year holidays on Dec. 31 and Jan. 1. This period includes three working days on Dec. 26, 27 and 28.
Employees have the option of using accrued vacation, compensatory time off or leave without pay for these three days. If you have not accrued sufficient vacation leave by December to cover those three days, arrangements will be made to allow you to borrow against future vacation time.
Each UCOP vice president will determine whether there are essential services that must be maintained during this period and plan staffing accordingly.
