Brown bag Wednesday, Sept. 26, on health care reform
What are the implications of health care reform for UC and for you? Find out at a brown bag lunch Wednesday, Sept. 26, from 12 to 1 p.m. in Franklin Lobby 1 Conference Room.
The discussion, entitled “What you need to know about health care reform,” is hosted by UC Health Sciences and Services. Discussion will focus on the impact of President Obama’s Affordable Care Act.
While the U.S. Supreme Court upheld the constitutionality of the health care reform law on June 28, the law’s future may yet be determined by the November election. Find out what this means for Californians and for UC Health, the state’s fourth-largest health care delivery system and the nation’s largest health sciences instructional program.
Speakers include:
- John Stobo, senior vice president, Health Sciences and Services
- Cathryn Nation, associate vice president, Health Sciences and Services
- Garen Corbett, director, California Health Benefits Review Program, Health Sciences and Services
- David Brown, director, Health and Clinical Affairs, UC Federal Government Relations
UC Health Sciences and Services provides leadership and strategic direction to advance the education, research and clinical service missions of the university’s 18 health professional schools and programs and 10 hospitals, collectively referred to as UC Health.
