June 19: Learn about library services available to UCOP staff

Not many of us know that UCOP employees have library privileges at UC Berkeley, and you can even have books delivered to UCOP’s Oakland offices from the Berkeley campus.

Find out more about these and other research resources available to OP staff at a brown bag on Wednesday, June 19, 12 to 1 p.m. in 11326 Franklin. The event is sponsored by OP Staff Assembly.

If you are unable to attend in person, join the conversation via ReadyTalk at 1-866-740-1260, passcode 9879699#.

Information Services Manager Ellen Meltzer and Digital Special Collections Program Coordinator Sherri Berger, both from the California Digital Library, will be on hand to demonstrate how OP staff can take advantage of these services:

  • UC Berkeley library privileges, including online access, borrowing and book delivery
  • Resources for professional and personal research, from journals to UC scholarship to historical resources for K–12 homework
  • Platforms for publishing and data management, available to you and the researchers you work with

For more about the OP Staff Assembly, visit their website or join their monthly meetings, every second Wednesday over the lunch hour in the Franklin building.
