New and improved Link to launch Nov. 12
Link, UCOP’s weekly newsletter, has been completely redesigned — and it’s coming your way next Tuesday morning, Nov. 12.
The improved Link will make it easier for UCOP staff to stay abreast of important news and all that’s happening around UCOP. We’ve also added video capability and a powerful new search function. And you will now be able to comfortably read Link on your tablet or mobile device.
Through the RSS feature, you can also sign up to automatically receive updates, so you can be alerted whenever there are new announcements or the site is refreshed.
The redesign was driven primarily by feedback we received from you, our readers, about areas that needed improvement.
One of your biggest frustrations has been the email you receive each week announcing the current issue. Starting next week, look for a redesigned email message. With live links to the site and calendar as well as to new stories, you’ll find it’s much easier to use and will get you to the Link content you want more quickly.
We’ve also updated Link’s visual design, to freshen it up and better align it with the systemwide UC brand.
Published every week to keep you informed about timely, useful UCOP and UC news, Link also aspires to build a sense of community and connect you and your UCOP colleagues with our work in support of UC’s mission.
In preparation for the launch, we are freezing the site; hence, the early delivery of this week’s issue. And you won’t be able to submit any comments while we put finishing touches on the new site.
Look for the new email and Link site on Tuesday, Nov. 12.
