One weird fact about the town I grew up in: In 1639, the Rev. Peter Prudden purchased the land for Orange, Connecticut, from the Indians for six coats, ten blankets, one kettle, twelve hatchets, twelve hoes, two dozen knives and a dozen small mirrors.
If I could have any job in the world (besides the one I have now), I would be: A coordinator for a large philanthropic agency that funds university research. I could keep abreast of the cutting edge research, would continually learn, and help move the university’s research endeavors forward.
