What I do for OP in five words or less: Health Workforce Planning & Policy Analysis

The best part about working for OP: The neighborhood (just kidding) : )  Besides working with the best team ever, I really like having a positive impact on increasing access to health care for underserved Californians, developing innovative educational programs that help teach future providers how to care for people in new ways like improving cultural competence and using telemedicine, and working hard to educate a workforce that reflects the diversity of our state.

Something you don’t know about me: I am a dancer in a Polynesian dance company which means I dance Hula Kahiko (the ancient form before the ukulele), Ori Tahiti (the one with the fast moving hips that many mistake for Hula), and I sing for the contemporary Hawaiian and Tahitian pieces that the company performs.

One weird fact about the town I grew up in: I was born in Hollywood so where do I begin…

If I could have any job in the world (besides the one I have now): I would run a large philanthropic organization focused on inner-city education and global health; Social Secretary for the Obama Administration; International Resort and Spa Critic.
