Last call for Sautter Innovation Award applications
The final deadline for submission of applications for the Larry L. Sautter Award for Innovation in Information Technology is 5 p.m., Friday, May 20, 2011.
Named for UC Riverside’s former associate vice chancellor for computing and communications, the award is open to faculty and staff from all UC campuses, the Office of the President and Lawrence Berkeley National Laboratory.
Sponsored by the UC IT Leadership Council, the program recognizes innovative deployment of information technology in support of the university’s mission.
The 2010 award winners included a web application for academic recruitment deployed at multiple UC campuses, a computer program that enables researchers to more efficiently identify potential research subjects for clinical trials, and an electronic payroll expense transfer application that significantly reduces the time it takes to process and post the transfers.
The Sautter Award Program presents up to three golden awards and two silver awards, as well as honorable mentions. Award recipients will be announced at the UC Computing Services Conference at UC Merced, August 7-9, 2011.
