Get to know UC’s whistleblower policies and protections
The University of California has a responsibility to conduct its affairs ethically and in compliance with the law.
If you suspect that a UC employee is engaged in improper activities that violate a state or federal law or regulation, you should be aware that the university has policies and channels that allow you to “blow the whistle” and that protect you from retaliation for doing so.
UC’s whistleblower website provides important information for employees and supervisors about the whistleblower process, reporting channels and policies. Select one of the choices in the left-hand column to find the information you need.
To report improper activity, call the University-wide Whistleblower Hotline (which is independently operated to help ensure confidentiality) at (800) 403-4744 or check out the resources linked below for more details.
