HR benefits services return to Oakland from UCSF
On Friday, July 1, 2011, the UC Customer Service Center assumed responsibility for benefits services for all OP employees.
UC Customer Service, located in the Kaiser Building, will provide OP staff with support for the full scope of University-sponsored health, welfare and retirement benefits plans.
The new phone number to call for all your benefits questions is (510) 987-0900. Or you can reach the service center via the web at https://secure.ucop.edu/secureapps/ays/csform.html. Customer Service Manager Michael Waldman will lead the new team.
“The service center is continuing in our commitment to support the OP community,” Waldman said. “We will be handling the nuts-and-bolts benefits questions for all OP employees, including retirement counseling, health and welfare benefits programs.”
Benefits services were previously handled through the UCSF Benefits Office. The transition is part of ongoing steps being implemented to refocus the delivery of human resources services and support to OP managers and staff.
