Connexxus program headlined in travel industry publication
Connexxus, the travel service that has saved the University of California tens of millions of dollars in travel expenditures, grabbed headlines last week on the travel industry website BusinessTravelNews.com.
The story chronicles the background behind implementation of the Connexxus travel service and quotes UC Travel Services Director Matthew Golden.
“Implementing a travel management program for the University of California system’s 10 universities uncovered $250 million in unmanaged travel spend, presenting a savings opportunity of roughly $12 million a year,” the story opens.
The complete story can be found on BusinessTravelNews.com. The travel program was also profiled in a story last spring on the UC Newsroom website.
