UC Davis brings its sun-dried tomatoes to UCOP Dec. 14
Enjoy tomatoes all winter long with UC Davis Russell Ranch Dried Tomatoes, which will be presold at UCOP and available in the Franklin Lobby on Wednesday, Dec. 14, from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m.
Inspired by last year’s success with its President’s Reserve Olive Oil from the Olive Center, UC Davis returns with these organically cultivated and fresh dried tomatoes. Straight from Russell Ranch in California’s Central Valley, they add a gourmet touch to soups, pasta sauces and salads.
(Don’t forget that there are a few cases of President’s Reserve Olive Oil, which will be sold at UCOP’s Holiday Crafts Fair, also in the Franklin Lobby, on Thursday, Dec. 8, from 10 a.m. to 2:30 p.m.)
The tomatoes are available in 2.75-ounce ($4) and 9.75-ounce ($12) bags as well as discounted cases (presales only) of 84 small bags ($315) and 30 large bags ($335). Samples of the tomatoes will be available for tasting at the sale.
To pre-order, make your check payable to UC Regents and send it to Lorrie Mandoriao, 10202 Franklin, or Patricia Harrigan, 10134E Franklin. Pre-orders must be received by Wednesday, Dec. 7, to guarantee availability at UCOP on Dec. 14.
