Boost your project management skills with new classes

UCOP Learning and Development is kicking off a new series of classes in February and March to help you sharpen your project management skills. Learn how to better manage tasks, obtain resources, build a team, track your progress and report results through this three-part series.

Initiating a Project: 1-5 p.m. Feb. 1 in Franklin 9204; Learn to identify a clear, shared understanding of a project, and create a comprehensive project charter or decision document.

Planning and Estimating a Project: 8:30 a.m.-12:30 p.m. Feb. 9 in Franklin 5320. Become skilled in preparing detailed, professional work order estimates with task descriptions, and durations.

Scheduling and Tracking a Project: 8:30 a.m.-12:30 p.m. March 15 in Franklin 11326. Master the skill of converting a project plan and estimates into a project schedule. Track progress and communicate status.

To register:

  • Using your UCOP login and password, sign in to the UC Learning Center.
  • Using the Search box on the left, type in the name of the class in which you are interested
  • That will bring up Results of Search; click on the class being offered at UCOP
  • Click Register next to the class title
  • Click Submit
