Upcoming classes: Embracing Change, Excel for Power Users

UCOP HR Learning and Development offers two classes this month that still have openings, including  Embracing Change and Excel for Power Users, both sessions taking place in the Franklin building.

Embracing Change, Thursday, Feb. 7, 1 to 5 p.m., 5320 Franklin

Change is a constant everywhere these days, and UCOP is no exception. This class will give you tips on how you can work and cope with change and help those around you do the same. The class offers concrete steps to make change more palatable by understanding people’s hesitation, enlisting the help of others, setting up plans and managing stressors. These steps can also ensure that desired changes are implemented successfully.

Excel for Power Users, Thursday, Feb. 21, 9 a.m. to 4 p.m., 7107 Franklin

For experienced Excel users, this all-day class provides practical experience using Excel’s most powerful features and sophisticated data analysis techniques. You will learn how to develop better solutions faster and implement those solutions with a greater understanding of the complex set of factors that affect business outcomes.

To register for either of these classes, go to the UC Learning Center:

  • Log in using your UCOP login and password.
  • Using the Search box on the left, type in the name of the class you want; that will bring up Results of Search.
  • Click the session you want, then click on the Register box and Submit.
