June 13: Find out all about UCOP’s Mentorship Program
Celebrate the success of UCOP’s Mentorship Program and find out more about the program on Thursday, June 13, 4 to 5 p.m. in the Franklin Fifth Floor Rooftop Garden.
At the mentorship celebration, the 2012–13 mentors and mentees will wrap up their experience and share what they found to be valuable about the program with anyone who is interested in learning more or participating this year.
The program, which will launch its third year this summer, provides a supportive structure for UCOP employees to cultivate contacts, explore challenges and enhance their effectiveness as they grow both personally and professionally.
Inspired two years ago by UCOP staff input and trends on college campuses and companies nationwide, the program builds about 25 mentor–mentee pairings each year.
Mentees use the opportunity to gather information, develop peer support, learn more about management and better understand the organizational culture of UCOP. The one-on-one relationships officially take place for 10 months but have the potential to enrich careers, create enduring friendships and change lives.
The 2013 program will be launching in the coming months, so come find out from the experts what the mentorship experience is all about. Refreshments will be served.
