American Red Cross Bloodmobile returns to OP tomorrow
Did you know?
- Five million patients will need blood this year.
- A single car accident victim can require as many as 100 pints of blood.
- One pint of blood, roughly the amount you give when you donate blood, can save up to three lives.
Giving blood is easy when the bloodmobile returns to UCOP this Wednesday, Oct. 16. Contact Jan Kehoe at (510) 987-9692 or jan.kehoe@ucop.edu if you are available and interested in making a donation.
The American Red Cross Bloodmobile will be parked in front of the East Bay Municipal Utility District (EBMUD) building on 11th St., between Franklin and Webster, from 8:15 a.m. to 3 p.m. And Kehoe always bakes her homemade cookies to help donors replenish their energy.
If you can’t participate this month but would like to donate, plan ahead for UCOP’s final blood drive of 2013 on Wednesday, Dec. 11.
