Staff Engagement Initiative updates continue on Monday, March 24

Staff Engagement steering committee

Members of the Staff Engagement Initiative Steering Team (with EVP Nathan Brostrom) will report on their responses to the work group recommendations beginning this week. They include (from left) John Fox, Juliann Martinez, Jeanie Urban, Claudia Escobar, Brostrom, Paul Schwartz and Linda Klink. (Gemma Rieser is not pictured.)

The Staff Engagement Initiative is holding two additional brown bags to update the UCOP community on progress being made on the recommendations of the work groups.

Remaining sessions will be held from 12 to 1 p.m. in 5320 Franklin as follows:

  • Monday, March 24: Performance Management
  • Wednesday, April 2: Communications

Representatives from Local UCOP Human Resources and Communications will discuss their ideas in response to the recommendations in those areas by the three Staff Engagement Work Groups. There will be time for questions and discussion at all the brown bag sessions.

For those unable to join the March 24 event in person, you can participate through ReadyTalk by dialing 866-740-1260 and using access code 9870314. You can view the presentation online at (access code 9870314).

You can find the PowerPoint presentation from the March 19 Career Development session, along with complete work group reports and recommendations and the original survey results, on the Staff Assembly website.

Not sure if you noticed this, but the photo caption for the article “Staff Engagement Initiative to present updates beginning this week” incorrectly lists EVP Nathan Bostrom’s name as simply, “Bostrom.”
