Claudia White of Ethics and Compliance to retire after nearly 30 years

Senior Vice President and Chief Compliance and Audit Officer Sheryl Vacca has issued the following announcement to the UCOP community:

It is with mixed emotions that I announce that after more than 29 years at the University of California, Claudia White, special assistant in the Office of Ethics, Compliance and Audit Services (ECAS), will be retiring as of June 27, 2014.

Claudia is a trusted colleague who is well known at the Office of the President and on many campuses for her skills and institutional knowledge. Her knowledge has been invaluable to our organization. Claudia has touched many lives and many people throughout her career through mentoring, assisting with a multitude of tasks and just “making things happen.” She will truly be missed, not just for these professional abilities, but also for the exemplary personal qualities she exhibits every day. I consider it a privilege to have been able to work with her since joining UC in 2007.

Claudia’s wish was not to have a formal program for her retirement, so we are encouraging you to come join us in thanking Claudia for her many years of service. ECAS will have an open house on Thursday, June 26, from 2 to 4 p.m. in the ECAS office area (outside Franklin 5402) with celebratory cake and a card for staff to sign.

Please feel free to drop by during this time to join us and wish Claudia well as she begins her retirement and next chapter in life.
