Learn the basics of UCOP budgetary concepts in Account Manager 101

Are you a departmental analyst or manager whose job requires knowledge of UCOP budgetary and/or financial concepts? Then you’ll want to take Account Manager 101, presented by the UCOP Budget Office and Business Resource Center.

The course will include a basic overview of UCOP budgetary and financial concepts useful for departmental personnel who utilize the UCLA general ledger or Budget Development System to effectively monitor and manage their financial activities. The class will cover the following:

  • The organizational and account structure developed to properly capture and report financial information
  • The authorization process in place to delegate authority to conduct and approve financial activities
  • Financial reporting and data retrieval options available for financial reporting and management purposes
  • An overview of the services and resources provided by the Business Resource Center teams in support of UCOP account managers.
