Annual UCOP ITS Tech Fair draws a crowd
The third annual UCOP ITS Tech Fair was a huge success, with an estimated 300 people dropping by during the two-hour event held on Wednesday, Aug. 10.
By visiting the 12 tables run by various ITS staff, UCOP employees had a chance to learn about both current and future services — from commonly used desktop apps and software like Windows to the new Zoom video/audio and web conferencing system. Other tables — such as the ones for PowerBI, Salesforce, Tableau, and Cognos — were designed to make staff aware of apps, software and IT services that they might not know are available to help with their work.
The capper of the two-hour event was the drawing for raffle prizes. Albert Apolonia won the Phiaton Bluetooth headset while Tommy Lam and Lloyd Allen each won an iPad Pro with case.
Many people contributed to the success of the ITS Tech Fair. Listed below are descriptions of all the fair’s informational tables and who staffed them, plus a list of the other volunteers who made the annual event such a big success.
