10-second bio: Laura Levy, operations coordinator and gardening lover at heart
Name: Laura Levy
Title: Operations Coordinator
Department/Unit: Innovative Learning Technology Initiative
Location: Franklin Building
When I Started Working At UCOP: Spring 2014
What I Do For OP In Five Words Or Less: I support the ILTI team
The Best Part About Working For OP: The best part of working for OP is the people! I feel that everyone is on the same page regarding their commitment to the mission of the university system and eager to work together to get things done.
Something You Don’t Know About Me: I was a financial manager in municipal securities for a New York state financing agency and several for-profit companies for a total of 16 years where I oversaw the financing of medical facilities.
One Weird Fact About The Town I Grew Up In: There was absolutely nothing unique about the town I grew up in: East Meadow on Long Island. It was a typical suburban neighborhood outside New York City.
If I Could Have Any Job In The World (Besides The One I Have Now), I Would Be: I missed my calling and should have been a landscape architect. I love gardening and use succulents, broken dishes, colored stones and tiles to make mosaic garden art.
