Support Adopt-a-Family through UCOP

For many families in the Bay Area, the holidays can be an especially trying time. Years ago, the Adopt-a-Family program was created to make this a more joyful time for families in need by connecting them to the generosity of donors.
How it works
OP staff are matched with low-income families struggling with poverty, disabilities and abandonment. Participants purchase seasonal gifts and other items on their families’ “wish lists,” then bring these gifts to UCOP. Gifts and donations are needed by 5 p.m. on Monday, December 9.
We wrap the gifts and deliver them to our local Salvation Army, which passes them along to the designated families.
Last year, through the generosity of OP staff, many families in the program had their wish lists fulfilled. With your help, we can have another great year of giving!

Last year we assisted 16 families (both large and small) and over 75 children in need in the Oakland area. We hope to double this year’s giving and look forward to working with our generous OP community! You have amazing hearts!
