The records purge continues — laissez les bons temps rouler!

Let your obsolete records roll right into the shred and recycle bins!

Records Purge Week is February 24-28. Recycling boxes and shred bins will be available on each floor at all Oakland locations.

The building move is getting closer and most departments still need to get rid of records with lapsed retention periods, and non-records they no longer need.

It’s Mardi Gras! Make Purge Week festive and fill those bins!

If you have any questions or need assistance with getting your records in order to prepare for the move to the new space, please contact Records@ucop.edu or (510) 987-0399.

CAUTION: Do not discard records that are the subject of a litigation hold or other records freeze or have been requested pursuant to the California Public Records Act, an investigation, an ongoing audit or another legal process.

If you have any questions about whether records are required to be preserved for legal reasons, please contact your legal counsel at UC Legal.
