In the morning, instead of biking to BART, my husband and I bike a loop that takes us along the Marina Bay trail in El Cerrito.
During lunch time, I take my two daughters and dog on a hike at our local trails.
In the evening, I do online yoga and meditation.
Sometimes during the day as a break my older daughter will try to teach me a Tik Tok dance, but not very successfully!
Thanks for sharing, Nicola — those are all fantastic (and fun) ways to keep moving!
I’ve been working out regularly by running in my area or heading up to the trails less than five minutes away before sunrise, or taking my dog up with me for a nice easy hike. In the evenings I also lift weights and do HIIT workouts and watch a bunch of workout videos to get some new ideas for home workouts (helps on those days when I’m not as motivated to exercise)
During the day, I also have a routine to keep me moving. I do five burpees every hour on the hour during the workday – it really helps break up the day and get me out of my chair! If a Zoom meeting is happening at the hour, I double up the next hour. Totally worth it!
That’s so ambitious — thanks for the inspiration, Patricia!
