For many families in the Bay Area, the holidays can be an especially trying time. Years ago, the Adopt-a-Family program was created to make this a more joyful time for families in need by connecting them to the generosity of donors.

COVID-19 has changed and rearranged our lives in ways we would never have imagined. In order to extend the gift of giving to needy families while keeping everyone involved safe, we’re simplifying our usual process. This year:

• Angel Tags will be sent by PDF file via email, including the necessary information (clothing size, gender, etc.) to purchase gifts.
• Gifts can be shipped directly to Salvation Army Headquarters. Add a gift note, if an option is available with the tag code.
• Gifts are due by Dec. 11 and will be distributed by the Salvation Army on Dec. 22 — just in time for Christmas!
