UC students ask lawmakers to increase financial aid
UC students have joined with their peers from across the country in a concerted effort to advocate for an increase in federal financial aid for low-income students.
The Double the Pell campaign is calling on Congress to reinvest in the Pell Grant program, the primary source of federal aid for low-income college students.
On Feb. 23, UC students testified before federal lawmakers at a congressional briefing organized by the UC Student Association. President Drake joined them, saying, “Millions of students face very difficult choices about how to support themselves and their families.
