Vice-Chancellor Haynes will discuss the ways in which depriving Black people of their full participation in society and university life can compromise an institution’s capacity to educate, discover, create and heal, and how initiatives like UC Irvine’s leverage the mission of the university and change institutional culture. Sponsored by Graduate, Undergraduate and Equity Affairs (GUEA) and the Office of Workplace Inclusion and Belonging (OWIB).
