New Employee Orientation
July 12, 10 a.m. – 12 p.m.
Starting a new job or at a new location can be daunting. The UCOP New Employee Orientation is designed to facilitate a smooth transition to the organization. Topics include: UC’s history, UCOP overview, tools and resources, safety, compliance and more.

Rock Your LinkedIn Profile
July 20, 11 a.m. – 12 p.m. (Multiple dates are available at the registration link.)
This class is offered monthly by LinkedIn Learning. Learn what it takes to build a great profile that speaks directly to your ideal audience and get your questions answered by a LinkedIn expert.

Project Management for Non-Project Managers
July 19, 9 a.m. – 12 p.m. (Register by July 13)
Offered by People-OnTheGo, this interactive workshop is designed for professionals in all fields who want to enhance their skills to better manage projects of all kinds. While we’ll cover traditional project management concepts, this session is focused on bringing innovative insights and practical techniques to improve project management. Key topics and takeaways include:

  • Tasks, durations and dependencies
  • Resources, availability and assignments
  • Planning and managing big, small and micro-projects
  • Issue tracking and management
  • Defining results and driving the project to completion

Inclusive Hybrid and Virtual Meetings

Inclusive meetings lead to a climate of openness as well as greater teamwork and decision ownership. This workshop features techniques to facilitate virtual and hybrid meetings that include all voices and engage your participants. Topics include meeting structures that foster engagement, tailoring engagement strategies for participants and objectives and best practices for hybrid and remote meetings.

Microsoft Project Tips for Project Management
July 28, 9 a.m. – 12 p.m. (Register by July 25)
If you use Microsoft Project to manage projects and tasks, this course is for you! New and current project managers will learn time-saving tricks, ways to increase collaboration and more effective project management. Plus, learn how to streamline projects for more efficient management.
