Microsoft Project Tips for Project Management

If you use Microsoft Project to manage projects and tasks, this course is for you! New and current project managers will learn time-saving tricks, ways to increase collaboration and more effective project management. Plus, learn how to streamline projects for more efficient management.

New Employee Orientation
Aug. 9, 10 a.m. – 12 p.m.
Starting a new job or at a new location can be daunting. The UCOP New Employee Orientation is designed to facilitate a smooth transition to the organization. Topics include: UC’s history, UCOP overview, tools and resources, safety, compliance and more.

GROWing Your Check-In Conversations for Employees
Aug. 3, 2 – 4 p.m. | Aug. 18, 10 a.m. – 12 p.m.
Do you need advice for having a more productive check-in schedule with your manager? Attend this two-hour virtual live workshop for an opportunity to practice using the GROW in STEP check-ins and to (Prerequisite: Completed STEP ecourses)

Coaching Lab
Aug. 5, 12, 19 and 26, 10:30 a.m. – 12 p.m.
This optional interactive session for managers and supervisors provides an opportunity to practice strategies for giving feedback with a coaching lens. Come with a real-life example to practice with your peers. (Prerequisite: Completed STEP ecourses)

UCOP Mentorship Program Information Session
Aug. 5, 1 – 1:25 p.m. | Aug. 16, 12:30 – 12:55 p.m. | Aug. 24, 9:05 – 9:30 a.m.
Come learn about the UCOP 2022-23 Mentorship Program, open to all employees who have been at UCOP for at least six months. Applications are due Aug. 31. Visit the UCOP Mentorship Program webpage for more information.

People Leaders Forum Onboarding New Employees
Aug. 12, 1 – 2 p.m.
People Leaders Forums are monthly opportunities for supervisors to develop leadership skills, build community, share best practices, swap strategies for navigating current challenges and learn to better support themselves and their teams. Our Aug. 12 session will focus on onboarding new employees.
