Tuesday, Nov. 1 is Día de los Muertos, AKA Day of the Dead. The Latino Staff Association (LaSA) and UCOP Crafts Club invite all UCOP colleagues to celebrate by decorating sugar skulls. From 12:30-2 p.m., come to room 8001 in the Oakland Broadway building to join in the festivities.

If you haven’t yet, please also consider contributing to our virtual or in-person ofrendas (private altars commemorating the dead), which are offered this year in partnership with UC Legal.

• Oakland and UCPath colleagues: Bring your physical mementos to the Oakland Franklin building lobby and the UCPath Center to place on the decorated ofrendas from Oct. 26 – Nov. 2. Please label your mementos with your name.
• Colleagues at all locations: Visit the virtual ofrenda at any time to post your virtual tribute to loved ones who have died. Use the comment form to share a photo and description.
