The OP Staff Assembly (OPSA), in collaboration with UCOP Learning & Development, invites you to hear from valued UCOP managers as they share their journeys and best practices in navigating teams in today’s work environment.

Shirley Bittlingmeier

Shirley Bittlingmeier
Executive Director, Client Services and Officer, Information Resources and Communications
Shirley is an information technology professional with more than 25 years’ experience in IT service and support operations. As executive director of Client Services, she manages strategic partnerships throughout UCOP, ensuring alignment with Information Technology Services (ITS). She directs the end-user support, desktop engineering, telecommunications, IT asset and software consultation, and records-management functions. She chairs the IT Operations Council, an information- and feedback-sharing forum between business operations and ITS. Prior to UC, Shirley worked in the biotech and internet service industries.

Christina Saint Martin

Production Director, UCPath Center
Christina provides leadership and oversight for the operations and delivery of payroll, benefits and human resources/workforce administration for University of California Shared Services. In addition, she leads strategic system improvement and operational initiatives.

 

 

Tera Urias

Tera Urias
Business Operations Manager, UCPath Center
In Tera Urias’ role as business operations manager at the UCPath Center, she oversees several different departments: Training and Development, Process Improvement, Data Analytics and Records, and Fulfillment. Tera also manages the UCPath business continuity plan, Future of Work initiatives, and ensures all that UCPath Center employees are well-equipped in a safe working environment. Prior to joining the UCPath Center in 2019, Tera worked at United Healthcare. During her seven-year career there, she worked as a senior training manager, project manager, business analyst manager and site mayor.

Amy Vrizuela

Amy Vrizuela
Business Resource Center (BRC) Director
Amy joined UCOP in 2001 as an administrative assistant in the Facilities Administration Department, supporting both the immediate office and Endowment Real Estate Group. Through this role, she discovered her affinity for working in finance using math to solve problems. She moved on to serve as a budget and contract analyst, a position that involved supervision as well as contract and budget management for large, capital projects. In 2008, Amy joined the BRC as a supervisor for one of the new teams created to provide financial services to all UCOP divisions. As an original member of the BRC, she helped build the department from the ground up. She continued to grow her professional skills, eventually being promoted to manage the Compliance, Accounting, Audit and Policy Team. Amy is now director of the BRC.
