Celebrate Martin Luther King Jr.’s legacy with “I Have a Dream” recitation

On Wednesday, Jan. 15, join the Black Staff and Faculty Organization (BSFO) in honoring the legacy and birthday of Dr. Martin Luther King Jr.

BSFO members and colleagues — including several UCOP leaders — will take turns reciting the iconic “I Have a Dream” speech, raising their voices in community to spread Dr. King’s message of love, justice and unity that remains relevant today.

About BSFO

Established three decades ago, the Black Staff and Faculty Organization at the University of California, Office of the President (BSFO) is an employee-based organization that maintains a network of communication between Black employees at UCOP. BSFO supports local nonprofit organizations that serve the Black community and sponsors a variety of cultural events and programs throughout the year. Through BSFO’s fundraising efforts, members provide monetary scholarships to deserving UC-enrolled students.
