Help build a community around AI at UCOP
Artificial Intelligence is transforming the way organizations work across all disciplines, and UCOP is no exception. To ensure we harness its potential responsibly and effectively, colleagues have come together to create the UCOP AI Community of Practice (CoP) — a collaborative space for staff across divisions to learn, share, and innovate together.
Register for the inaugural meeting on Feb. 6 at 11 a.m. (PT)
About the UCOP AI CoP
This group brings together employees who are curious about AI and want to explore it thoughtfully. Together, we will:
- Build shared understanding of AI concepts, opportunities and risks from a non-technical perspective.
- Explore learning and training needs related to AI literacy, tools and applications.
- Identify and share impactful use cases that can be scaled across UCOP.
- Help inform resource, tool and training investment priorities.
- Foster cross-divisional collaboration and innovation.
By coming together as a community, we can ensure UCOP approaches AI thoughtfully, equitably and with a focus on impact.
Participation eligibility
Participation is open to all UCOP employees, regardless of role, division or technical background. If you have an interest in AI — whether you’re exploring its possibilities or simply want to understand its implications — this community is for you.
Note: Although the AI CoP is open to all employees, conversations will be directed towards the applied level.
Expectations
Participants will be encouraged to:
- Attend monthly meetings
- Share ideas, challenges and examples from their or their team’s work
