On April 7, all UCOP staff are invited to join members of the Asian Pacific Islander Staff Association for vibrant cultural festivities during the APISA Cherry Blossom Celebration in Oakland! Immerse yourself in the beauty of Japanese traditions as we welcome the season of renewal and community.

What to expect

• A delicious sampling of Japanese cuisine, featuring a variety of savory bites
• Matcha infused sweet treats
• Hands-on Origami (paper folding) activities; learn and create your own cherry blossom
• A fun and interactive Rice Ball (Onigiri) making station—roll, shape, and enjoy!

Volunteers are needed

Connect with APISA members by giving back! Sign up to volunteer — there are a variety of options for helping out, from set-up and clean-up to manning food stations for a few hours.
