APISA shares new highlights for Tuesday’s Cherry Blossom Festival
The Asian Pacific Islander Staff Association (APISA) is hosting its inaugural cherry blossom festival tomorrow in Oakland!
And, APISA members have just announced two additional event highlights — a special performance by Tatsumaki Taiko and an appearance by President Milliken. This adds to the already-event-filled afternoon, which will include:
- A delicious sampling of Japanese cuisine, featuring a variety of savory bites
- Matcha-infused sweet treats
- Hands-on Origami (paper folding) activities — including a chance to create your own cherry blossom
- A fun and interactive rice ball (Onigiri) making station — roll, shape, and enjoy!
All UCOP staff are invited to immerse themselves in the beauty of Japanese traditions as we welcome the season of renewal and community.
