The Asian Pacific Islander Staff Association (APISA) is hosting its inaugural cherry blossom festival tomorrow in Oakland!

And, APISA members have just announced two additional event highlights — a special performance by Tatsumaki Taiko and an appearance by President Milliken. This adds to the already-event-filled afternoon, which will include:

• A delicious sampling of Japanese cuisine, featuring a variety of savory bites
• Matcha-infused sweet treats
• Hands-on Origami (paper folding) activities — including a chance to create your own cherry blossom
• A fun and interactive rice ball (Onigiri) making station — roll, shape, and enjoy!

All UCOP staff are invited to immerse themselves in the beauty of Japanese traditions as we welcome the season of renewal and community.
