Earn the Data Analysis Series learning certificate

Maximize your Excel skills and earn a learning certificate by participating in the UCOP Learning and Development Data Analysis Series. You’ll learn how to use several tools within Microsoft Excel to organize data, present it cohesively and utilize it in decision-making. Classes will build upon each other, building your skills and knowledge over time.

This series runs twice a year, and all four courses are required for the certificate of completion. If you’ve finished any series course within the last two years, it will count towards your certificate. We recommend, but do not require, that you attend the series in order.

  1. Excel Introduction to Data Analysis (two three-hour sessions)* Prerequisite for Adv Data Analysis
  2. Excel Advanced Data Analysis (two three-hour sessions)
  3. Power Pivot (two three-hour sessions)
  4. Power BI (three three-hour sessions)

Get started today

Sign up for Excel Introduction to Data Analysis, taking place Aug. 15 and Aug. 22 from 9 a.m. – 12 p.m. (PT). Both sessions are required. In this course, you’ll learn how to use Excel’s built-in data analysis tools to better understand your records and use them for decision-making purposes. We’ll cover analyzing data in lists and tables; summary-based IF Functions, chart tools, and building and working with pivot tables and pivot charts.
