UCOP Staff Listening Session: Balance & Engagement in Your Work
Rescheduled & Updated: The OP Staff Assembly (OPSA) is hosting a UCOP Staff Listening Session on Balance & Engagement in Your Work. Using a simple method that incorporates a 3Practice Circles approach, this session is an inclusive space where UCOP employees come together to listen, share and connect as a community, engaging in conversation within 3 practices: Listen with your whole self, Be curious and ask questions, Share from your own experience.
A 3Practice Circles session is not a problem-solving or decision-making forum. It’s an opportunity to reflect on shared experiences and strengthen understanding and community across UCOP. It is a safe space for clarity and understanding—with no obligation to agree—and a place to exercise your listening and communication skills while practicing empathy and learning more about each other. We do not judge others or measure their experiences in relation to our own.
For this session, participants will be invited to reflect on the framing question: “What helps you feel balanced and engaged in your work, and what makes it more challenging?”
Ombudsperson Callale Concon and past APISA Chair Tony Yang will facilitate.
