If you don’t have a lot of knowledge around labor unions and practices, you may be looking for advice on how to best support your represented employees. Two upcoming trainings from UCOP Learning and Development are here to offer guidance and helpful background info.

 Managing Represented Employees
2 offerings March 20, 1 – 2 p.m. (PT)  OR April 16, 9 – 10:30 a.m. (PT)
In this extended 1.5 hour session, Director and HR Business Partner Karen Arnold and Director of Compensation JJ Lerma will provide managers with essential guidance for effectively managing represented employees in a unionized environment. Participants will learn the fundamentals of labor relations, including contract awareness, roles and responsibilities and appropriate communication practices.

This session will be offered two times and not recorded.  The first offering is during our regular monthly People Leader Forum.  The second offering is April 16, 9 – 10:30 a.m.
