Save the date for a conversation with President Milliken and UC Berkeley Chancellor Rich Lyons

President Milliken invites all UCOP staff to join him for the third event in the President’s Leadership Conversations series, featuring UC Berkeley Chancellor Rich Lyons, on August 18, from 1 – 2 p.m. (PT).
Join us to hear from Berkeley’s 12th chancellor, the first undergraduate alumnus to lead the campus! Chancellor Lyons will share his unique perspective on what makes Berkeley special, the role of innovation and entrepreneurship, the most pressing issues in higher education, and the concept of “pride without arrogance.”
This conversation will take place in front of a live UCOP audience at the Broadway Conference Center in Oakland. We hope you’ll be able to join us for this special in-person event. Light refreshments will be served.
The conversation will also be livestreamed via Zoom for those who cannot attend in Oakland.
How to attend
Advance registration is required. On July 29, all UCOP staff will receive an Outlook invitation with a link to a Zoom registration page where you’ll be able to specify how you plan to attend (in-person or virtually) and share questions for Chancellor Lyons. In-person attendees will have an opportunity to submit additional questions. For logistical reasons, we cannot accept questions during the live event.

UC President James B. Milliken launched the President’s Leadership Conversation series in 2025 as an opportunity for our community to come together and hear from leaders powering positive change across UC, as well as others who will inspire us through their unique perspectives on business, science, the arts and more.
