UCOP Tableau User Group to feature Laura Kertz on accessibility dashboard tests
All UCOP staff are invited to join the next meeting of the UCOP Tableau User Group (UCOP TUG) on Thursday, September 17, 2026, at 3:30 p.m. (PT) — another session focused on accessibility!
Laura Kertz from UCOP’s Institutional Research and Academic Planning team will:
- Demonstrate how to test a dashboard for accessibility using a screen reader
- Address common design issues that may arise, and how to resolve them
- Discuss best practices, such as shortening URLs in Tableau

UCOP TUG is a community of UCOP staff interested in building and sharing their Tableau skills. The group meets bi-monthly to discuss product updates, share best practices, present how-tos, provide feedback on reports in development, and much more. Users with all levels of experience are welcome. Sessions include resources for beginners as well as intermediate and advanced visualization techniques.
