The 2026 UC Cybersecurity Summit webinar brings together colleagues from the University of California, California State University and California Community Colleges to discuss how we can safeguard our institution and communities. Alongside leading voices in cybersecurity, we’ll examine an evolving digital landscape, from artificial intelligence and online safety to privacy, fraud prevention and the protection of critical infrastructure. Whether you’re a security professional or simply curious about today’s digital risks, you’ll gain practical insights and a better understanding of how we can all build a more secure digital future.

A Conversation on Prostate Health, Prevention & Wellness

The UCOP Black Staff and Faculty Organization (BSFO) invites everyone to its first prostate cancer awareness event, “A Conversation on Prostate Health, Prevention and Wellness.” Part of BSFO’s Health and Wellness Month series — “Healthy Minds, Healthy Bodies, Strong Communities,” four UC experts will share insights on prostate health, including factors that shape health outcomes and cancer care.

Can California Fix Its Insurance Crisis? The Candidates Weigh In.

California voters will choose the state’s next insurance commissioner as the state continues to face challenges across its insurance market. Join the UC Student and Policy Center and CalMatters for a discussion with Sen. Ben Allen and Jane Kim about their plans for the state’s insurance market, including how they would respond to growing risks such as wildfires.

UCOP Shakespeare Club: Coriolanus

UC Nature Day

Join UC Nature, formerly Natural Reserve System, and UCOP leadership to celebrate the annual UC Nature Day. Discover our 42 reserves and learn how these natural landscapes are helping to conserve California’s diverse plants and animals. Students and researchers will share how they use reserves to advance learning, scientific research, and environmental stewardship. Indulge in charcuterie and hummus boards and get the chance to snag swag as you browse our tables and interactive displays. Plus, hear remarks from Executive Vice President and Chief Financial Officer Nathan Brostrom, Vice President for Research and Innovation Theresa Maldonado and UC Nature Executive Director Steve Monfort.

Mental Malware: Why the Human OS Keeps Getting Hacked

Social engineering works because it targets what makes us human: our biases, cognitive shortcuts, emotions, and deeply wired instinct to trust. Drawing on studies from the field of psychology, this session unpacks the brain’s architecture that enables manipulation to be disturbingly effective.
