Share your perspective
If you have not yet completed the survey, please take a few minutes to share your perspectives by Friday, Nov. 13. Your feedback can help identify what is working well, where we can improve and what priorities would strengthen the staff experience at UCOP.
In our inaugural 2024 Staff@Work Survey, 77% of UCOP employees participated. That strong response gave divisions — and some departments, depending on size — valuable information for action plans. Broad participation this year will again help provide a fuller picture of staff experiences across UCOP and support meaningful, informed action.
* Please note that ANR-affiliated employees will not be asked to participate in this survey.
Top 8 things to know about the Staff@Work Survey
How do I take the survey?
Check your inbox for an Oct. 27 email invitation or this week’s reminder email from Workforce Science Associates (WSA), an independent, third-party vendor, with your unique survey link and instructions for participating. The email address will be UCOP Staff@Work Survey <noreply@qemailserver.com>. If you did not receive this email, first check your Junk Email folder, and if it’s not there, then contact the UCOP Staff@Work team.
Please do not delete the survey email until you have completed the survey. The unique link provided in your email is the only way to access the survey.
Please note: Once you submit the survey, you cannot make any changes.
What if I can’t complete the survey all at once?
If you don’t have time to complete the survey in one sitting, you can close the survey window at any time. When you’re ready to return, click on your unique link again and you will be taken back to where you left off.
How long will it take to complete the survey?
The survey takes approximately 10 to 15 minutes.
Will my manager, supervisor or leader be able to see my survey responses?
No. UCOP will receive only aggregated data.
How are you protecting my security and confidentiality?
Each survey link is unique to ensure confidentiality, and only WSA will have access to the raw survey data. In addition, we have taken the following steps:
- Your name and email address are used strictly by WSA to send survey invitations and reminders. They are not connected to the survey results.
- A secure SSL certificate is used for all online survey activity.
- Your uniquely generated link ensures that no one can respond using your name.
How can I help protect the confidentiality of my survey responses?
Do not share your email or unique link with others. Only one person can take the survey with your unique link. If you did not receive a survey invite, first check your Junk Email folder. If it’s not there, contact the UCOP Staff@Work team.
Why am I asked to provide demographic information?
UCOP strives to create an inclusive environment for all staff. The survey includes optional demographic questions to help provide a fuller picture of staff experiences across UCOP.
If I took the systemwide UC Engagement Survey, should I take the Staff@Work Survey?
Yes. This is a different survey than the systemwide engagement survey. The Staff@Work survey is for UCOP employees only — both policy-covered and represented.
