Forbes names UC Davis as No. 1 STEM college for women
Forbes magazine has ranked UC Davis the No. 1 “best value college” for women in STEM (science, technology, engineering and mathematics). This is a significant and encouraging achievement for UC given that far fewer women than men pursue degrees in these fields. UC Davis was ranked higher than Johns Hopkins, Duke, Cornell and other prominent schools.
The ranking reflects the fact that 56 percent of UC Davis’s enrollment is female and 29 percent of all enrolled students are specializing in STEM studies (as determined by College Scorecard data).
