First aid classes coming to Franklin, Kaiser
You’ll have the opportunity to learn the basics of first aid with classes in Franklin and Kaiser in September. The class is designed to provide the knowledge, skills and confidence necessary to manage a medical emergency until advanced help is available.
The topics covered include bleeding control; managing shock; head, neck and back injuries; burns; strokes; diabetic emergencies; seizures; asthma; sever allergic reactions; poisoning; bites and stings, and environmental emergencies.
The UCOP Office of Risk Management is sponsoring the training at the following times and locations:
Kaiser training
Tuesday, Sept. 12, 8:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. and 1 to 5 p.m. in Room 712
Franklin training
Thursday, Sept. 21, 8:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. and 1 to 5 p.m. in Room 9204
