Street closures in downtown Oakland on Friday, July 27

The 18th annual Art & Soul Festival returns to downtown Oakland the weekend of July 28-29, and some streets will be closed starting Friday, July 27. Please be aware that this will affect traffic, pedestrian access and parking availability.
In preparation for this event, the following street closures will begin at 9:30 a.m. Friday, July 27:
- 14th Street from Broadway to Martin Luther King Jr. Way
- Clay Street from 11th to 16th
- 12th Street from Broadway to Martin Luther King Jr. Way
- Jefferson from 11th to 15th Streets
The Franklin building will remain open as usual, including on the weekend. Access to the garage will be subject to traffic delays.
Access to the Broadway building’s garage will not be impacted. However, the City Center garage’s exit onto 14th Street will be blocked from 9:30 a.m. Friday, July 27 until 3 a.m. Monday, July 30. The lower level of the City Center garage will remain accessible from 11th Street per its normal weekend operation.
