Watch this to advance your career
It can be helpful to read articles on career-related topics — crafting a resume, gig jobs, gender identity in the workplace, finding a company that’s a culture fit — but it’s far more impactful to hear directly from other professionals who have navigated these topics in their careers and found success.
That’s the beauty of the UC Alumni Career Network, a high-impact online series that gathers UC alumni systemwide to provide real-world professional advice on an array of career-driven topics. And, since the series is based at UC, some episodes are tailored to our unique university experiences — such as Careers with the University of California and the recently announced August episode, Leveraging your UC network.
Although the series was initially developed as a tool to support alumni, it’s equally relevant to staff. In fact, nearly 25 percent of recent attendees are current UC faculty and staff members. Whether you’re just starting your professional career or are a long-term employee who’s ready to take advantage of the many career paths available at UC, the Alumni Career Network is an excellent resource.
Sign up for the next episode, Leveraging your UC network, taking place Tuesday, August 21, from 12-1 p.m. And, check out all the archived episodes on the newly redesigned Alumni Career Network website!
