Start the year with no stress! Learn to feel more present, enhance your awareness and focus and increase your effectiveness at work through simple mindfulness techniques.
21 Practices for Happiness
Jan. 26, 9:30 a.m. – 12 p.m. (Register by Jan. 23)
Develop and practice the mindfulness, emotional intelligence, growth-mindset and productivity skills that are crucial in today’s workplace. This workshop focuses on behavioral changes and initiative-taking, while at the same time paying attention to self-care, stress reduction, fostering enjoyment and self-fulfillment.
Managing Implicit Bias: Conversations about Implicit Bias
Jan. 28, 10 a.m. – 12 p.m.
Debrief the popular UC Managing Implicit Bias online course series by discussing challenges and strategies for managing implicit bias in a supportive and collegial environment. You’ll walk away with a greater understanding of your own biases and your ability to promote equity, diversity and inclusion. You must complete all six courses in the UC Managing Implicit Bias series before registering for this class.
Belonging and Inclusion Toward an Anti-racist Organization
Feb. 3, 10 a.m. – 12 p.m.
This new workshop led by popular instructor Dr. Rachelle Rogers Ard provides an opportunity to deeply explore the application and behaviors of the UCOP Core Competency of Belonging and Inclusion. Learn how building strong social-emotional skills and gaining a deep awareness of personal values are essential to countering racism and promoting a truly inclusive workplace. We will explore concrete examples of needed change, including asking hard questions. All participants will have an opportunity to complete the SEL Awareness Inventory.

Want to know how to securely store sensitive data in Box? Interested in how to get data into Box via email or URL? In this advanced Box class, we’ll cover a wide range of topics, including setting up alerts to monitor folders and using Box groups to manage department collaborations.

With today’s information overload, it’s increasingly challenging to get and stay organized. This workshop is designed to help users who manage a great deal of information in electronic and/or paper formats, and those who want to design a workspace that’s more conducive to creativity and productivity. Learn a realistic and practical approach for “total organization.”
