March is Women’s History Month, and the 2022 theme is “Providing Healing, Promoting Hope” — a tribute to the ceaseless work of caregivers and frontline workers during the COVID-19 pandemic and a recognition of the thousands of ways that women of all cultures have provided healing and hope throughout history. 

The President’s Advisory Committee on the Status of Women (PACSW) has organized several events to celebrate.

Documentary Screening: “My Name is Pauli Murray”
March 22, 12-1:30 p.m.
In collaboration with Pride & BSFO, we will host a screening of “My Name is Pauli Murray,” a documentary about a non-binary Black lawyer, activist and poet who influenced Ruth Bader Ginsburg and Thurgood Marshall.

UC Experts on Mental Health and Women’s History
March 29, 12-1 p.m.
PACSW will host a conversation moderated by Executive Director UCOP Human Resources Nancy Pluzdrak, Ed.D., and featuring:
* Genie Kim, Ph.D., Director of Student Mental Health and Well-Being, UCOP
* Crystal Green, Ph.D., Director of the Faculty and Staff Assistance Program, UC San Diego
The discussion will focus on mental health and wellness, resilience and emotional well-being related to women in the context of the pandemic and beyond.
