Changes in 2012 IRS parking and transit pre-tax limits

For tax year 2012, IRS pre-tax limits will change for qualified parking expenses from $230 to $240 per month and for qualified transit passes and vanpooling expenses from $230 to $125 per month.

Validation required for dependent health care eligibility

All UC faculty, staff and retirees who have dependents enrolled in UC-sponsored medical, dental and other insurance plans will be asked to validate their dependents' eligibility in a project slated to begin in February 2012.

Annual contribution limits for retirement plans go up

The Internal Revenue Service recently announced the 2012 maximum annual contribution (MAC) limit for UC's Retirement Savings Program's 403(b) Plan and/or 457(b) Plan, both increasing to $17,000.
