Join us for coffee and conversation with VP Maldonado to learn about her background, path to leadership, and how she handled challenges along the way.
Dr. Theresa Maldonado joined UCOP as Vice President for Research and Innovation in early March 2020. With 29 years of academic experience, she most recently served as Dean and Riter Professor of Engineering at the University of Texas at El Paso (UTEP). She also has extensive experience at the federal level in advancing engineering research, education, and commercialization initiatives, having served as a division director in the National Science Foundation’s Engineering Directorate.
