These prestigious awards mark the quality of an institution’s science faculty and proof of its success in attracting the most promising junior researchers.

On Feb. 20, 21 University of California faculty — across seven campuses — were named 2024 Sloan Research fellows by the Alfred P. Sloan Foundation.

UC faculty accounted for more than 13 percent of the new awardees — more than any other public university — representing six of UC’s 10 campuses.
